Our Mission
Canines and Caregivers is a community for dog parents and dog lovers which embraces and strives to support people and dogs of all abilities, needs, and backgrounds. We aim to provide empathetic, personalized, and inclusive care which celebrates individuals without punishment or unnecessary conflict and apply the same positive learning principles to humans as well as their dogs. This is your place to explore yourself and your dog from exactly where you are today without judgement. We are committed to creating a world where differences are celebrated in animals and people alike. Welcome to the community resource where no question is stupid, and learning to live with a dog just got a whole lot easier.

Meet Our Trainer
Grey Suiter began working at a dog daycare and it didn’t take long for him to realize that dogs understood him far more than his coworkers, and vise versa. With over 2 years in shelter work, Grey placed hundreds of animals into adoptive homes and developed stress-reducing enrichment programs to support them during their stays. His diverse background includes experience with children, volunteering at non-profits, and a deep commitment to diversity and inclusivity for people with disabilities, families, and LGBTQ+ individuals.
At his previous shelter, he managed challenging behavioral cases, including those involving aggression, reactivity, and fear. He created behavior plans and supported both animals and adopters, drawing on his Fear Free Shelters certification and mentorship from industry veterans. Grey has established connections with many local and international dog pros he is proud to call his colleagues and works under the direct supervision of a mentor with over 25 years of experience in the field. Although he is early in his career, he operates with the help of veterinary, shelter, and training professionals and frequently seeks guidance and deeper understanding from industry veterans. Grey is committed to continued education and is a proud member of the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants (IAABC) working towards the title of Certified Dog Behavior Consultant. Drawing from his extensive experience in various artistic fields such as freelance film-making and visual art, Grey brings a creative and unique approach to his work.

“I’ve met with multiple trainers and have never seen as much improvement in my dog’s behaviors as I have with the training Grey provides. He takes time to really understand you and your dog but is very efficient.”
